44-27. National Board Certification

Commencing July 1, 2016, the BOARD will pay the UNION up to a maximum of $750,000.00 per year, no more than $11,000.00 per candidate, for the purposes of candidate support, NBCT renewal, and program management. The program shall be open to all BOARD teachers, counselors, and librarians. For SY2015-16, the Board shall pay to the CTU the following:

• $320,000 for training 40 first-time NBCT candidates;

• $176,000 for 44 NBCT renewal candidates; and

• $150,000 for a management fee.
