40-9. Course or Grade Band Change after First Day of Classes

If a teacher’s course or elementary grade band assignment for the subsequent year is changed after the first day of classes, the teacher will be excused from Principal-directed preparations for the first quarter of the year to enable him/her to prepare for to deliver instruction in the new course or grade band assignment. For these purposes, “grade band” means either

• K to Grade 2

• Grades 3 to 5 or

• Grades 6 to 8.
