30-4. Notification of Police

Principals, or their designees, shall notify the police in case of serious school-related offenses including, but not limited to, extortion, possession of narcotics, possession of alcohol, arson or attempted arson, serious theft, serious vandalism, false reports of fire or bombs, possession or use of weapons, assault or battery on an employee and reported instances of trespassing. Trespassing is defined as presence without invitation or consent of one in legal possession of the property. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to prohibit a teacher or PSRP who has been the victim of a school-related offense from independently notifying the police of the offense.
